As most of us know, the pain signals we experience from trauma or normal wear and tear is transmitted via our nervous system. Most limb pain can be coming from nerve signals that help us slow down or stop what we are doing. Most people who feel pain in joints ligaments or tendons will have damage to those tissues and the nerve signals telling us that are helping to reduce the use of trauma to those tissues.

But what happens when the tendons, ligaments and joints are healthy or non-injured and we still have a limb or extremity pain?

In many cases our surface or peripheral nerves can be impinged or pinched at fascial openings where they emerge from.

Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is a good example of impingement of the median nerve as it passes through the fascial tunnel of the wrist. Tingling of the fingers, numbness, pain and reduced dexterity of the hand can be common symptoms of CTS.

One of the best ways to release that impingement is not surgery but nerve hydro dissection. By injecting diluted dextrose around the area of compression on the nerve sheath the pressure is released and the pain is generally permanently gone. This quick, generally painless injection procedure can heal many painful conditions.

This month I attended training in this method to add to our regenerative medical tool bag. If you have pain you don’t understand and feel it may be nerve-related give us a call to get an evaluation and Ultrasound scan to help identify the problem.

We are born with a set number of stem cells. As we age the number decreases and the repair of tissue from everyday wear and tear becomes less efficient. This is why we heal so fast and effectively when we are young and why it seems to take longer the older we get. One of MSC’s role in bodily repair is to extinguish inflammatory events. Research has proven that the more we support our own stem cells by introducing more stem cells to our circulation, we effectively can turn back our aging clock. Therefore the use of allograph cells like umbilical cord MSC’s can address some aging at its core. When used to treat a damaged tissue like cartilage it can truly turn back the clock of the aging of that damaged tissue. More to come…

This training session will focus on the essentials of level one regenerative injection techniques that produce effective results in myofacial and neuromuscular pain syndromes. In addition you will learn key regenerative exercises to compliment your treatments, fast track your rehab, and shorten recovery time.

Level one involves understanding the nature of myofascial pathology due to acute and chronic trauma. Trauma to the ligaments, joints, capsules and their attachment sites and the relationship to chronic myofacsial and neuromuscular pain will be addressed.  Also we will define and learn to treat other pain syndromes that do not follow classic dermatomal pain patterns.

Description: Level one covers the pathophysiology, diagnosis, and effective treatment of acute and chronic injury of the upper and lower extremities including the shoulder. We will learn accurate assessment of those injury sites and the latest most effective ways to treat them using prolotherapy. The majority of this course will be hands-on/practical application of the most effective prolotherapy and RIT techniques. The intensive will be divided into three parts- webinar, didactic, and  hands-on practical application. The majority of this course will be hands-on/practical application of the most effective prolotherapy and RIT techniques.

Pre-requisite: ND, NMD, MD, DO, DC, DOM, ARNP or PA degree with active license, or 4th year medical student. Must have malpractice insurance.

“An Insiders View from the Students Themselves”

Hands On * One-on-One * Small Group * Holistic Rehabilitation * Painless Injection Approach

Here’s what students are saying…

“For me the format of the course was the perfect blend of Eastern and Western philosophies. The informal yet professional atmosphere in a smaller group setting made for an optimal method of learning.”– ND, BC, Canada

“Amazing! One of the most beautiful views and relaxing environments I have ever experienced. It was the first course where I came back feeling more rejuvenated than when I arrived (even with a 7 hour time change!).”– ND, Alberta, Canada

“Thanks! Was a great course. Looking forward to more in the future.”– ND, BC, Canada

“I loved being able to have one on one tutelage from Kevin! That was so helpful vs. sitting in a room with 100 other docs. The small group was key! I also really enjoyed the QiGong exercises 2x/day – it was such a great way to take the “thinking/brainy” cap off and put on the more “feeling” cap.”– ND Seattle, WA

“I really like the learning environment. Thank you for offering a great environment to share knowledge and experience.”– ND, Seattle, WA

“I think it was the perfect amount of didactic verse practical. Plenty of hands on practice which is what we needed. I really enjoyed watching Dr. Davison with the practice patients. ”– ND, Moncton, NB Canada

“Dr. Davison is a true integrative healthcare practitioner. If you want to learn prolo beyond an allopathic model, that includes passive core exercises to improve treatment efficacy, this is the course to take. Dr. Davison is the best expression of naturopathic medicine: kindness, competence, and knowledge”. ”– ND, BC Canada

Whether you are thinking about starting your journey in prolotherapy or you have been practicing prolo for years, Dr. Davison’s courses are designed to help you get to where you want to be as a prolotherapist. This Life Extension article shows their is new hope for Brain Injury Victims. Researchers have found:

  • Mainstream therapies have been largely unable to alleviate the progressive symptoms of traumatic brain injury, which often occur years after the original trauma and can include devastating cognitive, emotional, and physical effects.
  • Recognizing that brain trauma triggers sex hormone deficiencies that can produce these worsening effects, some physicians are using an innovative sex hormone replacement technique that uses subcutaneous pellets to deliver bioidentical hormone replacement. Patients report rapid reversal of symptoms.
  • Also, at a time of exploding rates of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, accumulating evidence suggests that by replenishing diminished sex hormones, aging individuals can help inhibit these devastating brain-wasting diseases.
In this 3 day Prolotherapy Training Course, Dr. Davison will teach you innovative and unique prolo techniques including Hackett-Hemwall prolotherapy.
